Potatoes on Your Eyes? These Are the Latest TikTok Trends

We love a good TikTok trend, but are they all safe? Definitely not. Check out the latest below to find out:

RAW POTATOES TO GET RID OF EYE BAGS

TikTokers are cutting up raw potatoes and rubbing them under their eyes to get rid of eye bags.

IS IT SAFE? Yes! And it works! Doctors say potatoes are high in vitamin C and safe for you use on skin.

MAKING YOUR OWN SUNSCREEN

A TikToker went viral with a recipe for homemade sunscreen that contains Coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, and jojoba oil with zinc oxide powder

IS IT SAFE? No. Homemade sunscreens rarely work and there is no way to tell how much sun protection it gives.

EATING RAW GARLIC TO CURE ACNE

Videos with millions of views show TikTokers wincing as they eat spoonfuls of raw garlic to clear up their skin.

IS IT SAFE? Yes, but it does not work. Garlic has plenty of health benefits, but this is not one of them.

SLEEPING WITH CHIN STRAPS

They say it will help with snoring, teeth grinding, sleep apnea and sharpen your jawline.

IS IT SAFE? Nope. Anything that restricts you from breathing freely is a problem and there is no evidence this helps with any of these conditions.

Are these TikTok trends safe or not? Listen back here.
