Sometimes you've gotta go. The only option might be a public restroom, and we all know how this is going to end up. You'll run in, do what you gotta do and get the hell out of there. Because normally they're gross, dirty, and your parents always told you not to forget to wash your hands or you'll end up growing extra limbs because of the ick factor.
But are public restrooms that bad?
Research from Bond University shows that sitting on public toilet seats is generally low-risk for healthy people. The study found that toilet seats often contain less microbes than surfaces like door handles, faucet knobs, and the handle you use to flush, which are touched frequently with unwashed hands. So how is this not adding to the icky factor you ask? Especially when they normally don't have lids, just a seat. So when you flush germs get over everything in the bathroom. So another reason you should ALWAYS wash your hands.
So wash your hands thoroughly, use paper towels, cleaning the seat if needed, and avoiding “hovering” to maintain hygiene and comfort, and you should be in the clear next time you need to GO.
