Almost all of us have done it. I mean damn, my 10 year old does it and it's kind of gross. Do you sniff your dirty clothes so you can get one more wear out of it before you need to wash it? Be honest with yourself. Shirts, socks, your nasty underwear. You've done it. Not just guys either, girls do it too. But this could be making you sick, and I didn't have a clue this could happen till recently.
You can get a lung infection from bacteria on your dirty clothes. It's true, and it made a guy really sick in China. The unnamed patient was admitted to the Southwest Hospital of the Army Medical University with a cough that turned out to be an Aspergillus infection. So what's that?
"Aspergillosis is a fungal infection caused by the mold Aspergillus, which is commonly found in the environment. While many people can inhale Aspergillus spores without getting sick, it can cause mild to severe illness in certain individuals, especially those with weakened immune systems or lung diseases."
Scary right?
So planning to go out this weekend? Will you be sniffing your clothes? Maybe you can get out of something because you sniffed your underpants. Take this and do what you will with it.
(just wash your clothes and stop being nasty. lol)
