A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away....There was poop left on the moon. See, you think I'm joking when I say that, but NASA could be paying up to 3 Million Dollars to clean all the poo off of the moon. So how did it get there?
Apollo astronauts left the poo behind to lighten their spacecraft. But now, NASA is looking for another solution, and is willing to pay millions to clean it up. In total there are 96 bags of human waste on the moon. That's a bunch of crap if you ask me. So what's the plan NASA?
They will be reviewing applicants of the LunaRecycle Challenge to see which contestant came up with the best way to recycle human waste on the moon. So we have to win a contest to clean the moon up? Someone get Gru on the phone and tell him he needs to take the moon back from us again.
“NASA is committed to sustainable space exploration. As we prepare for future human space missions, we will need to consider how to minimize various waste streams, including solid waste,” the agency explained. NASA will soon select the most promising entries to develop functional prototypes. Or Gru can steal the moon. The choice is yours. lol
