Researchers at University College London found that doomscrolling and depression can form a loop, and not in a good way. Both can make each other worse.

People with poor mental health are more likely to seek out negative content online, and that content can make them feel even worse. Vicious cycle man.

There was a study done on 1000 people to browse the internet and take a psych test.. “We spend many hours online, and as humans, we only just started doing so in the last few years. Is it causing problems?” Professor Tali Sharot said.
