Chew your broccoli well! A Chinese study published in Horticulture Research sheds some light on how broccoli could fight cancer.
By mapping out the vegetable’s DNA, scientists were able to discover that broccoli creates compounds that, when chopped or chewed, convert to anti-cancer molecules.
This research could help create cancer-fighting superfoods in the form of more nutritious varieties of broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.
