Use These Tips When It's Time To Be Mentally Tough

The ability to control your mind instead of being controlled by it is something that takes practices and skill, but it can be done, no matter how much of a marshmallow you think you are.

Here are a couple tips to get your emotions in tip-to shape:

Get honest about your feelings – Let people know when you’re hurting or stressed out so that you’re not teaching your brain that those feelings are scary or dangerous.

Resist Being A Time Traveler – Try not to put energy into living in the past or worrying about the future. Staying in the present may help to curb anxiety and depression and keep you focused on what’s most important to you.

Know The Difference Between Wants And Values – When you want to do something that you know isn’t good for you, try shifting your focus onto your values. In other words, instead of white-knuckle-resisting your temptation for another helping of dessert, remember what matters to you in the big picture and be proud of what you’re accomplishing.
