A new survey finds that 92% of Americans plan to share chocolate candy with friends, family and loved ones this Valentine's Day.

The act of giving chocolate and candy is seen not just as a treat but also as a meaningful gesture, with 94% of respondents saying they’d be excited to receive a sweet Valentine’s Day treat. The preferences for specific types of candy gifts has the country divided, however, with 60% favoring heart-shaped chocolate boxes and 40% preferring conversation hearts. And while half (52%) of those polled want their Valentine’s Day message to be sweet and heartfelt, 28% would rather the sentiment be humorous and one-in-five would prefer a touch of sarcasm.

Does this help you with your V Day budget?
