Kim Kardashian has a controversial opinion about children's education, and it's causing a stir online.
During a recent appearance on Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3 livestream over the weekend, the mom of four admitted that she doesn't "believe in homework" because "kids are in school for eight hours a day," per Page Six. Kardashian, who shares kids North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Kanye West, said the extra schoolwork assigned for outside of the classroom cuts into children's time elsewhere.
"When they come home, they need to also — they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family," she said. "I think that homework should be left for in school."
Some commenters were in total support of the SKIMS founder's claim, admitting that her points were "low key valid" and that "school already takes up most of the day, so letting kids breathe, be active, and have a social life outside academics makes sense" because "balance matters more than overloading them with homework."
However, not everyone agreed and shared differing takes, from explaining how they managed schoolwork and a social life when they were younger to claims that homework wasn't something the Kardashians star had to worry about.
"Well, homework doesn't stop kids from doing all that she mentioned, I sometimes did my homework before leaving school back in the days," one user wrote, while another alleged, "Of course someone who paid to get their homework done would say that."
Kardashian should be well acquainted with her fair share of homework as she graduated from law school earlier this summer after six years of study. She later shared a long message about how the experience "shaped [her] profoundly," defending her law school journey while acknowledging that "it wasn't easy."
