Kate Beckinsale recently responded to Britney Spears coming to her defense against ageists on the internet. According to Page Six, the actress reposted Spear's statement replying to Ozzy Osbourne and family's harsh critique of her dancing videos.

The story can be traced back to Tuesday's (July 16) episode of iHeartRadio podcast The Osbournes where the "Crazy Train" standout, wife Sharon, and kids Jack and Kelly expressed their distaste for Spears' social media habits, calling her "poor little thing" and saying that they felt sorry for her among other harsh commentary.

It took the "Toxic" hitmaker less than a day to release a statement in her defense, referring to the Osbourne family as "the most boring family known to mankind," before telling them to "kindly f*** off!!!"

The lengthy Instagram post also drew attention to English actress Kate Beckinsale who also receives a lot of hate from ageists on the internet who believe she is too "old" to be posting some of the content she shares on social media.

"I adore Kate Beckinsale. Especially because she is from London!!! I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age appropriate content...she's in her fifties and I thought it was pretty bad ass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally four years old."

The note continued, urging followers to be "extremely careful with who you let into your circle and your heart" as humans can be cruel.

Beckinsale reposted the message to her story in a thank you shout out to Spears saying:

"Women supporting women is my favourite thing. Thank you @britneyspears, warrior queen of all queens for your incredibly sweet post. All the love right back."

Beckinsale recently made headlines for flashing her bare bum out of her apartment window as a way to mourn the passing of her beloved cat. The icons continue to stand together and do as they please despite hate they receive for their actions online.
