Country's biggest night is finally here!
The 56th annual CMA Awards are happening Wednesday night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Hosted by Luke Bryan and NFL icon Peyton Manning, the star-studded event is set to feature performances from Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Elle King with The Black Keys, Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry, Cody Johnson, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood and more. The race is on for Entertainer of the Year with Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen eying the coveted prize. Before the stars walk down the red carpet, we've already got our first winners of the night.
Earlier this morning, Good Morning America's Will Reeves announced that Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde won Musical Event of the Year thanks to their powerful duet "Never Wanted To Be That Girl" during Keith Urban's performance outside of the Bridgestone Arena. The song is also up for other awards tonight like Song of the Year and Single of the Year. Reeves also revealed Cody Johnson won Music Video of the Year for his hit song "'Til You Can't." He'll compete for Male Vocalist of the Year during the national broadcast.
