You Can Help Our Neighbors Affected By Last Nights Storms

There are lots of ways to donate and volunteer to help our neighbors affected by the tornadoes.

The Red Cross is out in the community providing victims which the resources they need to recover from the damage in their neighborhoods. You can make a donation to theAmerican Red Cross Disaster Relief Fundor call 1-800-REDCROSS.

Richardson

A volunteer coordination center has been established at Huffines Rec Center in Richardson 200 N Plano Rd., Richardson, TX 75081 Call 972-744-0900 to register to help in their community.

The Network of Community Ministries is collecting monetary, food and clothing donations to assist those in the impacted areas and has volunteer opportunities for people wishing to donate time to stock food shelves or separate donated supplies. Network is located at 741 S Sherman St, Richardson, TX 75081.

Dallas

The Dallas Emergenty Assistance Fundwill help local organizations respond to the needs of those affected by the storms.

There are several ways to help in Dallas this weekend, too.

DISD is collecting school supplies & gift cards to help the students and teachers who lost their schools in the storms. .You can help them get the supplies they need to start over!

You can also drop them off at these DISD collection spots Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.:

  • Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy, 1700 E. Camp Wisdom Road
  • Turney W. Leonard Training Center, 5151 Samuel Blvd
  • One Center at Linus Wright Administration Building, 9400 N. Central Expressway, first floor.
