Kelly Clarkson is getting candid about her weight loss journey, opening up about using prescribed medications to shed pounds after being at her "heaviest."

The conversation went down while talking to Whoopi Goldberg on Monday's (May 13) episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where the host revealed that, while it's popular and now a trend among other celebrities, she didn't use Ozempic to drop the pounds, per Entertainment Tonight.

After Goldberg shared that she's "doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help," adding that it's "been really good" for her, the "Stronger" singer revealed that her transformation came after her doctor convinced her to try medication to address her health concerns.

"Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to that too because my bloodwork got so bad," she said, adding, "My doctor chased me for two years and I was like, 'No, I'm afraid of it.' I already have thyroid problems. I was afraid. Everybody thinks it's Ozempic, but it's not. It's something else. But it's something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously my body doesn't do it right."

The original American Idol, who stands at around 5'3", also shared that she weighed 203 pounds at her "heaviest," and is shocked to see her appearance when looking back at older footage of herself.

"You see it and you're like, 'She's about to die of a heart attack,'" she said, adding that was never insecure about her weight. "It's kind of incredible though because it's a weird thing. I never saw that. I was never insecure about that... I was happy. People are like, 'Oh, she must not have been happy.' It's like, 'No, I was happy!' I just did not see that."
