Why didn’t anyone ever cast Nicolas Cage as the Joker. It seems so simple, so perfect…and yet Cage himself seems to be the only person who ever thought of it.
In a new interview, he says, “I always thought I’d make a great Joker…It would be the perfect one for me to go even more off the rails than I’ve ever done before and, y’know, it’d be fun.”
It sounds like he’s left that world behind, though. He says, “I think my comic book days are kind of…I’m on to other things…At this point if I was to go back into the format it would probably have to be as a villain.”
