This morning my heart is smiling. I finally heard that my dear friend and her family from Houston are safe. Yes, they were rescued from their home in a boat. Yes, they had to leave all of their beloved belongings behind. It was a heartbreaking experience but she and I are praising God for their safety. There are SO many families going through this experience and we are blessed enough to have the opportunity to help.

If you believe in the power of prayer, Pray. Pray for the safety of our friends in south Texas. Pray for peace for the people who have lost everything. Pray for peace for the sweet children who might be scared or confused. Pray for the men and women who have chosen to put themselves in harm's way to help those who are unable to help themselves.
